Our missions

Via our Dorian Awards, GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Journalists honors the best in film and TV, mainstream to LGBTQIA+.

We stand as a reminder to bigots, bullies and our own communities that the world loves the Q+ eye on everything entertainment.

We press for improved representation of our communities
in bylines, boardrooms and ballrooms.

And we push for better pay, access, respect for our members,
whose work is often undervalued by the very industry they support.
